Jackie Chan was born on 7th of April 1954 in Hong Kong (his birth-name was Chan Kong-Sang, this means: "the Chan, which is born in Hong Kong")
- His parents name were Charles and Lee Lee Chan
- They were very poor, but they had some jobs at the French embassy in Hong Kong as a cook(his dad), and a housekeeper(his mum)
- Charles loved to do Kung Fu and so he made exercises with his beloved son just every early morning and he also wanted to teach him in this case about discipline, strength and courage.
- At the age of 7, his parents sent him to a very important school for him. It was the Peking Opera-school and it should be Jackie's home for about 10 years.
- Charles and Lee Lee got a good work in Australia, but they had to leave their son alone in Hong Kong in the Opera-school
- Jackie had a very hard, but sure also interesting time at the Peking Opera, where he learned also singing, acting, acrobatics and very much about martial arts, which should determine his life
- Yu Jim-Yuen, headmaster from the Opera, "adopted" Jackie and was very strict and hard with him. The kids at the school also learned reading and writing, but these were not the most important subjects.
Jackie can speak seven languages
Jackie was called "Paul" as a little boy, then as a teen he was called "Steve"?
Jackie's entire family once lived in a storage room at the French Embassy in Hong Kong
Jackie broke the record for the most takes in a film for a single shot lasting less than one minute
Jackie gave up acting at the age of 19 & moved to Australia & became a brick layer & a cook for two years, then gave acting one more try.
Jackie's parents escaped China during the Communist Revolution & fled to Hong Kong
The first time Jackie came to America, all he could say in English was "coffee" and "chocolate cake", so he could not order food until he called Willie Chan in Hong Kong to ask how to order food in English & he went hungry until he learned how.
Jackie's first stunt was jumping off a moving bus at the age of twelve.
As a child, Jackie could speak fluent French.
