Ever since I was a little girl, I had always dreamed being part of those movies and films on the big screen, you know the ones that give you goose bumps.
Now as I got older, I learned in life, that I had an idol, because really as a young girl, I never really knew who Jackie Chan really was, just saw his work and he made me laugh, but it seems like anytime in my life, with the bad things, a Jackie Chan film would pop up and it made me feel as though in my life, things would be alright, and Jackie Chan and his films, always gave me comfort.
So as I got to know more and more about my idols life, how he grew up and more of his crazy stunts, and how much he would soon influence me, I realized this is the man that I so would want to work with, but how?
I first had stepped into a dojo and trained on and off in a martial art called "Capoeria" and was given the martial art nickname, "Po Do Arroz" which can you believe means, "Wacky Clown"---sound familiar, something you would call Jackie Chan.
So I got into dinner theatre and getting into to know more about stunts and fight scenes and doing films here and there, which lead me to meet my Big Brother "Ahura Z"--well doesn't Jackie have a big brother -Summo?--lots of similarities along the same line of Jackie Chan.
Well Ahura Z is a wonderful and respectful man and I have a bond with this man for life. He has taught me to be even more secure in myself and to accept myself for the woman that I am.
What was special about Ahura, well this man has his own production company, ok, more along the lines of Jackie Chan again?--yes, and like Jackie Chan, Ahura Z, does his own directing, writing, and acting, and teaches Martial Arts and teaches how to use weapons and does his own stunts and fight scenes and also coordinates his own fights in films and so much more, and writes and compose his own music with his wife Sinari, who has a beautiful voice and they have been recognized around the world for their music.
The greatest gift I have received from Ahura, my big brother, no amount of money ever could buy, is self worth and to accept myself.
Want to hear about the film--well Ahura Z, took me serious as a woman and listened to me. There is so much to the film, but my parts in the films, yes I did get to play three characters, a warrior woman, a taxi cab driver, and there is a great big part for me in this film--you will have to wait and see--but lets just say, Jackie Chan himself would love this film.
The people at Unicova, the people, the community accept all people from different backgrounds and women are so respected and are accepted for who they are, and not if they are rich or poor, of any sexual orientation or what culture they come from---Unicova is Ahura Z's place, where you are welcomed with open arms and loved for the human being you are.
I wish Jackie Chan and his films would open their hearts and please take a look at the trailer, and yeah I'm in there somewhere, but you all will have to figure it out.
If you want to join a space and see more of all of us associated with this great film, please visit OURFILMSPACE and we are all there.
So to Jackie Chan fans, since I know all of you love his films, because he puts alot of heart and yes broken bones as well into his film, you all will love ANIKRYUA and please come to OURIFLMSPACE, because I would love to see you all there.
Yours Truly, an actress from Boston who does her own stunts and fight scenes as well, Shelly Nun-Chucks.
